D'Alonzo has a strong interest in the mixed media, constantly striving to combine different materials in unconventional ways. She is heavily influenced by Keith Haring's sentiment that art should be available to all as well as Jean-Michel Basquiat's expressionistic style. D'Alonzo is a firm believer that art is everywhere all of the time.
Jo D'Alonzo graduated from Loyola University in Maryland with a bachelor's degree in studio art.
